Dog Beach is located in Huntington Beach on the west side of Pacific Coast Highway between Seapoint Street on the north and 21st Street on the south.

Hours:
From 5 am to 10 pm every day of the year. The parking lots close at 10.00 pm
Parking:
There is plenty of metered parking available in lots along side Pacific Coast Highway. The meter fee is $.25 for each 10 minutes. The meters accept quarters, dimes, and nickels. The city is now sometimes issuing citations for early morning parking without paying the meter. After 8 AM you will almost certainly get a citation if you don't put money in the meter. Maintain control of your dog(s) at all times. Pick up after your dog(s) and dispose of the waste in the trash cans.
Under the existing city ordinance,13.08.070, dogs must remain leashed. However, for the past ten years only unleashed potentially dangerous dogs have been cited or removed.

When are the monthly cleanups?
To streamline our efforts to make dog beach even cleaner, we are introducing a new cleaning method. (This replaces the present once a month clean up day.)
Your three represenatives at the entrances to Dog Beach, will all have cleaning utensils that you can pick up from them. They are always on duty on weekends, holidays, and some weekdays

Is there an annual parking permit?
Yes.
As of January 1, 2008: you may purchase a permit valid to Dec 31 for $125 (for seniors the rate is $50). As of July 1, 2008: you may purchase a permit valid to Dec 31, 2008 for $75 (for seniors the rate is $30). A senior is at least 62 years old.
