Huntington Dog Beach mourns the loss of a friend
In Memory of Gary Sneddon
Gary James Sneddon passed away at the age of sixty-two on Sunday morning July 1, 2007 at 1:00 AM from heart failure. He is survived by his daughter, Justine. Gary was originally from Michigan but lived in Orange County, CA for over 40 years. He was often described as an honest man who went out of his way to help others, including strangers. Our family has been blessed by his love and service to his community. We will miss his wisdom, guidance, sincere kindness and generosity.
It has been comforting to hear from Gary's friends, business contacts, and colleagues recently. All of you have been so kind and our family is glad that Gary touched your life in his special way.
Our family received condolences from Huntington Beach's "Huntington Dog Beach" President, Martin Senat. Martin said he will have a memorial page posted with photos of Gary on-line. The Huntington Dog Beach website is at www.dogbeach.org. In addition, the folks at the "Freedom Forum of Orange County" will have an announcement celebrating the life of Gary Sneddon at their next meeting.
A special thank you to Martin at Huntington Dog Beach and Rosemary and Chuck at the Freedom Forum of Orange County (714) 703-2417.

Dear Martin,
"I remember the first day I saw my dad working at Dog Beach and I can't recall another time when he looked as happy as he did that day. He was grinning from ear to ear and looking back, I think he had a lot of fun talking to folks as they came to enjoy Dog Beach. If Gary's health had been better in recent months, I think he would have wanted to help with the Huntington Dog Beach efforts for as long as he could."
